**Following Government guidance, the University have decided that all non-essential contact should now be avoided, so we are postponing all outreach activities both on and off campus until the end of the school academic year in July.  Therefore this event will no longer go ahead.**

The Classics Competition has run for over 70 years at the University of Leeds, and is a celebration of Classics, Reading and Performance for young people studying classics, drama, english, and history. In addition to our annual Greek and Latin reading categories, this year we are introducing Drama categories for KS3, 4 and 5.

After an optional hour-long launch workshop delivered in your school, which will explore the given texts/topics of choice, as well as provide hints and tips for our entrants, students will join us on campus for some healthy competition in a supportive and encouraging environment. The competition runs from 17:00-19:30. On the afternoon of the competition, we will also be running Classics and Drama workshops, with limited spaces available.

For all of the information about the competition, including our chosen texts and drama briefs, please download our Teacher Handbook here. The programme for the event can be found and downloaded here.
