Our Language and Business competition is a challenge set for Year 9 and 10 students who are studying French, Spanish or German in school.
The event is designed to bring language learning to life, help build their confidence and make learning a language exciting for young people. We hope to encourage them to continue with their language learning beyond GCSE and to understand the importance of languages in a business context.
The competition runs from January to March and consists of two in-school workshops that will be delivered by our postgraduate students. Schools will then select finalists and bring those students to an on-campus final.
**Bookings for the Language and Business competition 2022/23 are now closed**
The competition will run from January to March 2023 and will comprise of two in school workshops followed by the on campus final, which will take place on Wednesday 29th March. Please see below for more information on the timeline of the competition:
You can find out more about the 2022/23 programme in our teacher booklet here.
In line with our Widening Participation targets we prioritise workshops to state schools but will take expressions of interest from all schools. Please be aware that due to a limited budget we can only deliver live in school workshops to schools which are within two hours of the university by public transport.
