Online every Wednesday 16:00-18:00 from 9th June – 7th July

Our annual Languages Summer School for Year 12 French, Spanish and German students is back for another year! Meet #Linguastars – a series of online workshops designed to give a taster of studying languages at the University of Leeds, expose students to the career opportunities available to graduates and to provide the opportunity to meet current languages students.

“It confirmed my love for languages and made me sure that I want to complete a languages degree”

“The sessions were all very fun and informative, but more importantly they helped me a lot with regards to the decision making for my post-18 options.”

(Feedback from 2020 delegates)

Proving to be even bigger and better than last year, our online programme will feature a range of interactive taster sessions, informative talks and Q&As, to give a flavour of studying at an undergraduate level including more familiar A-Level languages, as well as introduction to new languages, Joint Honours programmes, life at university as a language‘s student and inspirational graduate opportunities.

Delivered by academics in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, our very own Education Outreach Fellows and undergraduate Student Ambassadors, students will gain a holistic insight, to help them gather the knowledge they need to make those all-important Higher Education decisions – all from the comfort of their sofa!

To see what last year’s Summer School involved, please take a look at our Twitter Moments and read one participant’s first-hand experience of our online programme in 2020.
