Leeds Language Week: On Campus Activities

Join us for a literary treasure hunt this week. Explore the breadth of the libraries and other learning spaces on campus, gain knowledge and find new depths. Fill in the treasure hunt online, or come to the Language Zone counter to find out more.

To celebrate the amazing opportunities University of Leeds students have abroad, Leeds Language Week is hosting a photo competition, to find the best snaps taken whilst students were on their year abroad. During Leeds Language Week (11th-15th November) the Language Zone will exhibit the winners of the LCS Year Abroad Photo Competition. Displaying a selection of pictures that represent the unique & enriching experiences that students gain in their years abroad.

A chance to build your speaking confidence in a relaxed and social environment. You may be based outside of Leeds, or you may use this session to meet people to attend in-person activities with. Everyone welcome.

Come and enjoy a relaxed social environment to learn and practise some British Sign Language as well as an opportunity to learn more about Deaf awareness and how you can best support friends, students or colleagues who are deaf or hard of hearing. Welcome to all levels.
